Worship is the heart and pulse of the Christian Church. In worship, we celebrate together God's gracious gifts of creation and salvation, and are strengthened to live in response to God's grace.
Worship always involves actions, not merely words. To consider worship is to consider
music, art, and architecture, as well as liturgy and preaching.
from the Nairobi Statement on Worship and Culture, 2014
Our heart’s desire is that Cross Timbers be a place where Christians can experience God in Christ-centered, biblically-based worship. We believe that God speaks to us in corporate worship through scripture, prayer, preaching, teaching, singing, and other artistic expressions. We gather for worship each Sunday at 10:30 am.
Through our music, we offer a sacrifice of praise to God which is our reasonable service to Him. The Apostle Paul admonishes us: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. (Col 3:16 ESV) When God is glorified and His people are edified in worship, we believe that the Lord will draw others to know Him as Lord and Savior.

Congregational singing is one of our priorities in worship. Every believer is encouraged to sing in worship. The church worships through a variety of different musical styles, always seeking the songs that are faithful to God’s Word and that give full expression to our faith, our devotion, and our service. The most important musical group in the church is the congregation.
Our Worship Choir and Worship Team provide opportunities for those who would like to lead the congregation in worship. The Choir leads in special services at Christmas and Easter and regularly shares the Good News through these presentations in our community. Every church member is welcome to join the choir and serve the Lord through this important ministry. The Worship Choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
We are always looking for instrumentalists who can help us glorify God by using the musical talents He has bestowed on our church members. If you play an instrument and would like to use your talents to serve the Lord and the church, please contact me.
Above all, our worship is to be for God’s glory and for the growth of His Kingdom. The mission of the worship ministry at Cross Timbers is the very mission of our church – to know Christ more intimately and to make Him known in this community and throughout the earth!
